Ellie Louise Art
Ellie is an artist based in Lincolnshire who specialises in shooting, gundog and wildlife artwork, Ellie’s pieces truly speak for themselves and are absolutely magnificent. Ellie took her first commission 4 years ago and hasn't looked back since! She has always been interested in art but never thought she would be able to do it as a job and earn a living from it!
When we first began stocking Ellie’s pieces, we were astounded by the detail in them. The texture and the colours pop off the page and really make the artwork so realistic. Ellie works in professional colour pencil as she finds it gives her so much accuracy to capture all of the details to create realistic portraits. Her favourite thing to draw is anything field sport related from engravings of a gun to a gundog with a pheasant and her favourite piece to date is 'Eager for English' as she thinks it really captures the detailed movements of a sprightly cocker spaniel and the glow of the sunlight off the English partridges feathers! She said the original hangs at her dad's house so it is always nice to see it there.
Ellie is passionate about preserving shooting in English heritage, Ellie herself comes from a background of keen shots and her Grandad was on the English Clay Shooting Team.
Elie has recently been published in the illustrious Gundog Journal. This is an incredible achievement and here at the Granary Farm Shop we are so proud of Ellie and everything she has achieved.
Be sure to pop into the store to see Ellie’s incredible artwork.
